I have just picked up some new tweeters to replace the oem tweeters in my 98 Frontier XE. They came with a pair of crossovers, that when I use them there is barely any sound coming out of the tweeters. So I have wired them for now without the crossover. My question is is there a built in crossover/resister somewhere in the wiring, and if so where is it? Every componet is aftermarket now, except for the wiring. Should I go through and replace all the wiring?

We need a look at your aftermarket system:  what are the mids, amplifier, etc?  Otherwise, yes, replace the OEM wiring if you suspect it's a problem...and tweeters MUST have the protection of a crossover.  The one that came with it.
