i have a Phoenix Gold Octane-R 8.0:4 R8.0:4 amp (200watts rms) and when i plug in the audio input i get a engin hiz on the bottom audio ports.... i was wondering if i just wire up all 4 speackers to the top port ( the frount set) will all the power be transferd and then i can run all 4 speakers clean.????? or will this just kinda kill the amp?????

You will more than likely run into a problem doing this. My guess is it will present the incorrect load and you will have bigger issues.

Some more info might help here. Are you using an aftermarket deck? Hve you tried switching the rca's and see if it is indeed the amp and not the rca's?

this happened to a clarion drx i had . it was a bad ground on the main board of the radio. or it could just a bad external ground.like dwarren said switch out the rca's first and go from there. lol
