I don't know if this has been discussed before but I have a question in regards to installing my power cable. Normally I would just run the cable to the trunk by drilling a hole and going that way.

The problem that I am having is that I am replacing the factory amp with an after market amp.  The factory amp is behind a plate in the rear quater panel.  I have custom made a board for the amp to attach the amp to however in order for me to run the power cable  I have to cross from 1 side of the car to the other and up.  The only place that I see fit to run the cable is under the back seat and than up.  Is it safe to run the cable under the seat or should I look at running the power cable under the carpet.

I don't want to do any drilling because the car has wires for air bag sensors and curtain airbags all over and I don't want to risk damaging anything

You can run it anywhere it won't get pinched or snagged.  Make sure if it goes under the seat that removal of the seat won't snag it.

Oh yeah, and you can push a rubber tube over it where it will be tight against something.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Thanks Stev,

I was just concern if the seat would eventually cut the wire from the weight of people getting in and out of the car.  The seat is well padded so under the seat the wire goes.

Thanks,
