i have another question to ask you guys. when wiring 2 DVC 4ohm subwoofers to a mono amp, do you use only 1 channel ( + - ) or both channels on the amp? i am currently using 1 channel, from looking at those pictures some of you showed me before (how to wire subs in certain ohms) but i was looking inside the manual and instructions and it shows every sub being used by both channels. am i suppose to use both?
thanks
well if its a mono amp it only has 1 channel , some mono amps will have a 2 channel appearance for ease of connecting wires but are connected inside.

so me using 1 channel is fine? i just got thrown off by the picture in the book. every picture shows both channels being used when wiring 2 subs. so i got concerned.
thanks
Be careful with that. My mtx amp is a mono amp but has two sets of speaker outputs and they both must be used in order to configure the proper resistance.

hmm. well that confuses me considering i only have 2 wires coming out of the box terminals. i did what the woofer configuration showed for 4ohms. wired both subs series/parallel, and then that left just 2 wires (pos. & neg.). then i connected the pos. and neg. wires to the one channel on the amp. i thought that's how you do it, but the jbl book showed both channels being used (which made me think i did it wrong) so i don't know what the heck to do. i don't see how both channels can be used if i only have 2 wires to work with. i dont know, i'll figure something out.
thanks
What's the make/model of the amp?

That's a class D mono subwoofer amp with one output. Multiple connection points are there for convenience only (which is normal in mono amps with multiple connection points. In fact I know of NONE that are any different than this.) You may use either or both + and either or both - speaker connections as they are connected together inside the amp. See page 3 of your owner's manual. The amp is stable to 2-ohms.
