Does anyone know how to remove the factory antenna from a 98 Dodge Ram?

Should be a standard slotted socket. I got ours from David Levy Co. it's their part # 29650. I believe Snap On also sells them but be prepared to pay large $. You can also cut the mast and use needle nose but be careful not to scratch the paint.

Thanks, I couldn't get the thing off. The more I tried turning the ring with the 3 slots in it, the more my fender buckled. When I dropped the truck off at the paint shop, I told the guy to give it a try. If he get's it off, I already ordered a new one. If he breaks the base, then he's going to shave it off and smooth the fender. I'll look into one of those underhood antennas. I'm not sure how they work, but I've heard you can mount them most anywhere they fit.
