I just had a few questions, actually I'm looking for some informed advice. I recently purchased a mcintosh mc431 (4x100 @ 4 ohms) and a set of dynaudio 240MKII component speakers for my front stage. I have an eclipse titanium 12" sub and an eclipse cd8454 head unit. I really big into sq, not for competition, but I love acoustic music, r&b, vocals & jazz. I've heard different tube amps such as US amps TU600, and a hollywood tube amp, and I loved the sound it produced on a pair of diamond audio hex silk components. Anyways, I wanted to know if anyone had suggestions on my rear setup. I was considering a few different things: a pair of coaxial speakers to get some sound but nothing overpowering, a pair of tweeters just for highs, a high end component set to balance everything out. I don't know what will be the best decision, but I want something that is not going to compete with the front stage. also does anyone know if it would be a good decision to use an external crossover/eq from audiocontrol i.e. three.1 or 3sx? I don't know too much about which unit from audiocontrol would be best for my setup so any advice would be benficial. THanks for any advice or opinions. by the way this is all going in a 02 Mits. Galant 4 door.

IMO don't use any rear speakers,  But if you want that rear fill sound, try a set of good mid-basses or coaxial in the door, and set rear amp levels about 5db down from the front level.  As far as a crossover, any of the AC crossovers are excellent units.  Sounds to me like you only need a two-way setup to provide a HP for your mains and a LP for your sub.  Or you can use the crossovers built into the amps.  The Xover built into the Mac amplifier is excellent and probably better quality than the AC.
