I just installed a new stereo and have a ridicoulous amount of Engine noise in my back speakers.

I had a cheap Pioneer DPH 4600 and exhanched it for a to of the line pioneer DPH 8600. The cheap one had very little noise not even noticeble to the ear. The expensise one has a loud amount of Engine noise.

Can the head unit be bad? Or this a strickly wiring problem? I have 2 rca's runned back to the amps one for the subs and one 6x8's.

I have 4 pioneer 6x8 all around wired to a crossover and into a 4 channel alpine amplifier

i also have 2L'5s wired to a crossover and a kac 7252 keenwood amp

What should i do? Should I take back the stereo or can I troubleshoot and fix this?

output voltage went up from the old deck, to the new. try bypassing the crossover and go directly into the amp. The new deck has high and low pass crossovers built in.
