I just got a 2006 wrx and I want to add my amp and sub but keep the factory radio. Any suggestions. I figured ide use line level adaptors but what a bout a remote wire?

Thanks - Alex

If that HU is anything like the other '06 Subaru lineup then DO NOT use the power antenna output for remote - it only powers when using AM/FM.  A trigger device would be best, or just make the remote from ACC.

Again, if it's like the other Subarus, you'll have SQ issues with the stock deck - they have built in EQ curves that taper off the bass around 60 hz.  You may have to look into the CleanSweep from JL.

you can either hook up a remote wire to the acc off of the factory radio harness or a fuse that only has power when the car is on, but sometimes you will run into the problem of reverb, because some fuses have power for about five seconds after car is shut off. I would use the factory harness if you can.

I hope that helps
