I think they are changing facilities and their website has been down for a while now. I need to order an amp from them that no one else carries (USX2050) and I have no way of getting a hold of them.
If anyone has their phone number it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

I thought the zeb was done, or at least was doing something with the site?

I thought I read on their site that they were just changing facilities. I'll call and find out tomorrow though and let you guys know.

Their phone and fax numbers don't work. They also haven't replied to an email I sent. I hope they aren't closing up shop for good, they were my favorite online retailer.

Man, that's crazy. They ripped off a bunch of people. What the heck happened?

It doesn't look to me like they intended to rip off anyone, it looks like they had to unexpectedly shut down operations.  I hope it was not due to a death or serious illness.  I bought something from the Zeb about a month ago and all was well.  This happens all the time, by the way, especially with on-line retailers.

Don't know exactly except they apparently cut and ran after taking a lot of orders that they knew they would not fill. There are threads on CAF and ECA started by people who were waiting for their stuff to arrive.

The progression was first, manufacturers like CDT stopped supplying them because they couldn't get in touch with them. Then the inventory on the site started shrinking. Then they said they were moving. Then the site and phones went black. Classic signs of going down the drain.

Exactly why you should support your local dealer. At least you will get something as you leave the store.

I just got off of the phone with US Acoustics inquiring about where I can get a 2050 amp. The lady told me that they had just received a chpater 7 notice from the Zeb. She seemed like it was unexpected and had come out of the blue. I hope they aren't out too much money from this.

Uhh? Huh? This isn't accurate.. I've followed CDT's lines on thezeb for months and just finished putting $600 worth of CDT speakers from thezeb into my car not three weeks ago. Indeed, the CDT lines on thezeb were actually *growing* having added several models of subwoofers and xovers over the last couple of weeks.

Can you link to the threads on the other forums I would be interested to read them.

I've always had great experiences from thezeb and my impression of the site was that it was of the quality, if not size, of the impressive cardomain bundle of websites.

Hmm. In my town, I don't believe a single car specialty shop in business now was in business 5 years ago. I can count 5 that have shut down in the last 3 years alone. One was, however, due to IRS intervention. That made the local news cuz the owner had some tricked out Viper that got siezed along with everything else he owned and the local paper had a pic of it getting loaded onto a flatbed.

Huh I read out all those bad feedback scores on eBay and it looks like... no suprise here... that on the 19th they suddenly turned off.

There are like 3000+ really positive comments before that. ... then they all changed to like "No phone, no mail, no gear..."

Crazy.

Congrats kgerry, yes it can be done ( Thurs. will be 23 years for me ), the drawback is the " I install for all my friends " guy opens up shop with not enough capital, no business plan and no management experience and quickly goes down. In my time doing this in our little town of 40,000 people I've lost track of how many shops have come and gone.

I wish we had local shops in my town like the folks that post on here, everyone where I'm at sells refurbished crap and tries to rip off Hispanic people. Kudos as well kgerry for being open 26 years man, that's awesome.
