Does anyone know the pinouts for the the CD changer input to on a 98 Ford Explorer radio w/CD/Tape?

The pins are in a simple 2x4 pin arrangement, but I have no idea what is what.

Hey John,

According to the plug you are describing, looking at the the rear of the radio with the plug on the top left you should have two rows of four pins each.  The top row isn`t used.  In the lower pins, the first pin on to the left is numbered 4, this is SW E/CLD.  The second is numbered 3 and is SW AUDIO SHLD.  Then comes number 2 this is SW AUDIO (+).  And finally number 1 is SW Audio (-). This plug feeds the rear amp.

If you get the specific changer for your SUV,  it`ll be a breeze to interconnect..if you`re going aftermarket well that`s another can of worms.........
