I have the opportunity to take advantage of excellent deals on Infinity and JBL equipment for my '01 Tacoma.

I can get Kappa Perfect component speakers for the front (100w RMS) for $200 and Kappa Coax's (100w RMS) for the rear for $60.  JBL 4-channel amp (40x4 at 4ohm) and sub-amp (150x1 at 4ohm) for $105 each.  I will add a JL stealthbox for low end.

Are these speakers and amps worth it?  I would like to know if anyone has experience with these products.

Thanks for the advice.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

I think for those prices, if they are new and working and all, you're looking pretty good, especially in a Tacoma.

It's all brand new direct from Harman Becker.  Speakers are Kappa Perfect 6.1 and Kappa 60.5cs.  Amps are JBL BP300.1 and P80.4.

The speakers are rated at 100w RMS each.  Will a 40x4 amp provide enough power?

Thanks.

It'll be plenty of power, just don't crank it up to the point of distortion and you'll be fine.
