I built a simple square box that's too large.  The ideal size was 1500 cubic inches and mine came out to be about 2500 cubic inches :(   The problem is that it bottoms out.  I was told that the large box doesn't give the cone enough back pressure.

Would adding more fiberglass fill help OR do I need to un-install and re-cut the box?

Thanks

Just add material in the box until you get to the desired airspace you want.

No.  Adding fiber-fill to an enclosure will make it act as if it is larger, not smaller.  You need to either re-make the enclosure, or add solid material to the inside like 2X4's glued in place, or add extra bracing.
