Are you after loud or a good sub? Do you want to listen to your music or be a one note wonder? Do you want any degree of trunk space left? Are you amplifying the front speakers to be able to keep up with all of this bass? Adding a monster heavy box in that trunk drastically affects how that car handles and of course the fuel economy. Are you prepared to upgrade the entire elecetrical system from the alternator back in order to feed the proper amount of current to an amp to get loud, loud, loud.

If you are more interested in being able to listen to your music and still have it play to a repectable volume level, there are tons of sub available to use. If you are as new to this as you say you are, do a whole pile more resaerch before settling on any one brand and model. Find what your needs are as that will dictate what you should look at as far as product goes. Ask questions and answer questions when asked. The basic questions I have asked you will help an professional in the industry be able to point you in the direction of the products necessary to do the job properly.
