Slot port with right angle bend, length?

I am building a slot ported box for a Kicker CVR12. I would like to have the slot port come up the back of the box and then make a right angle bend and exit out the front.
I have searched and read everything I can get my hands on about slot ports but I haven't been able to find anything on determining the length of a slot port with a right angle bend.
To find the length of the slot port in the picture would I measure along the red line?
