I just bought a Jensen PS285 amp to power my 8" kicker comp 4ohm. Is this going to work for me? Or is the amp junk?

it will run one 8" okay. beleive it or not but jensen does rate their amps pretty close. they are just an entery level amp. the problem with jensen is their boards and connections. the solder tends to break and come loose.
