Mach audio system

In my '01 Ford Expedition my rear subwoofer is not working, for that matter I don't seem to have any bass in any speaker.  All my highs and mids work fine.  Any ideas??  I checked the fuses under the dash and found that I have power at all three, but I don't seem to have 12 volts at the amp in the back.  I've seen this question somewhere before but I have yet to see an answer.  Even if I was directed to a disgram of the Mach audio system with locations of connections that would help.

Get a Metra wiring harness to use as a reference- see which wire is the amp turn on.  Sub signal/ turn on for sub amp is in a different plug than the power harness.  See if the amp turn on is getting power.  If it's not getting power, use a simple test light (rather than just a piece of wire), and jumper power to it to see if you get sound.  If this gives you sound, you can jumper from the switched lead to the turn on lead.

after market h/u. Make sure the remote from deck is wired into factory amp turn-on.

It is still the factory head unit, factory speakers, factory amp, everything factory.  I just bought the expedition about 3 months ago.  Everything else (audio wise) works fine.  I pulled the h/u and made sure all connections were made in the back.  Are there any plugs in the harness that goes to the back??  The exped. used to owned by a construction company and I've already had to resplice wires feeding the running board lights, so broken connections wouldn't surprise me.

For all-factory systems you might be able to find help from people who have the same vehicle.  Try some forums for Ford, maybe like this one.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

if the amps from the wire you use is to small your going to have to use a relay although you sould use one nomater what some people disagre but it is better to be safe espesialy on a stock h/u cas you dont have a wire comeing from the afermarket h/u to turn it on.

On the12volt you give some info and you get in

Go to your local stereo shop and explain the situation.  Have them bring out the premium ford harnesses until you find the one for your vehicle.  Then you have a reference to go by.

I have checked the fuse under the hood that feeds the audio system, good.  Under the dash there are three fuses in the fuse box that are apparently for the audio system.  A 25A fuse that tests fine, a 5A fuse that tests 12V with the ignition on, and the third fuse is a 5A that i never have gotten anything out of.  I pulled the fuse and did a continuity check through it and it tests good.  As for any other fuses, there is not one on the amp next to the subwoofer, and I'm not sure if there are any more in line or not.  I need to find a diagram or another harness i guess.
