Has anyone purchased Infinity Perfect 12.1 subs online from a non-authorized Infinity dealer? I am wondering if the subs sold by non-authorized dealers are copies, blemished, refurbished or actually new. Thanks.

anytime you buy from an unauthorized dealer. its buyer beware.  seems like you are leery so that should tell you.

Why would you need to anyway?

Great sub.

I can save about $50 per sub.

what sedate is saying is to click on  the blue "why would you need to anyway" and that will take you to a authorized daeler.

saving $50 per sub is good...how much extra would the shipping be compared to buying from a authorized dealer? also..how solid is the internet source your looking at?  just think of it this was, i i buy these subs and they blow withing the first month, can i return them or am i going to have to spend the extra amount on a local bought pair anyway. if ya don't mind me asking...what price are you going to pay? or willing to pay?

I realize there is the warranty issue but saving $100 US I feel is worth the risk. I've seen them in quite a few places for $128 online and even cheaper on eBay. I don't have a local Infinity dealer anyway.

If you feel its worth the risk with your money, by all means, spend it that way.

The Kappa Perfect is a stellar sub... a perennial favorite recommendation of mine....

$360 shipped really isn't the most competetive price on that particular speaker, this is true....

You should run for a Kicker subwoofer....is not that expensive(say 120 usd each 12 " dual 4 ohm)..and the sound great!

And by the way ,I have a question and I hope you guys may helpme....I have a rockford fosgate 500x in my sunfire 2001 (500 watts rms feeding a kicker 400 watts rms 12" sub)....I want to connect another small amp (75 watts x 2 channel)  for 4  speakers wired in series (6.5 speakers) ....Wil I have problems with the electric system (alternator & battery) and if so what can I do to avoid it???

infinity to kicker...hrmm...i'd stay with the infinity...kicker might get loud (L7 model) but form my experiance the infinity perfect 12 will have the SQ hands down depending on install.

The Infinity Perfects will blow any kicker out of the water when t comes to SQ.  If you just want to hear a boom, then go with kicker.  If you want good SQ quality, then definitely stick with the Infinitys.  Oh and mariocesar, what is stock alternator output?  A battery will help if you plan on listening your system will the car if off for a long time.  Upgrade the alternator before the battery.  You could even upgrade the Big 3 first to see if that will help at all.

Yea the Big 3 is the term used for the wires between your battery and alt, your ground from alt to chasis, and the ground from the battery to the chasis.  This will make the current load from your alternator flow easier and can improve your system's power.  And SQ means sound quality.  That is just how accurate the speakers are and how close they sound to the way the music was recorded.
