What would be the BEST subwoofer for a 600 watt (peak power) amp.  It has to be 12" though.  Any price range too.  Thanks in advance.

(PEAKPOWER) means nothing its a worthless term. if your amp is 600 watts peak. then it might be 300 watts rms. always go with the RMS  figure. a kicker comp is a decent sub for 300 watts.

Is that kicker a better sub for sq or spl?

I want an honest, loyal sub. One that won't run away or smoke. It needs to stay linear and stay rigid througout life. Hopefully its looks will always be there, no losing dust caps or fading....That's a funny questionposted_image

Thanks, I appreciate the info.  I think I will go with either a Alpine Type R, or a Kicker Comp.
