is there an amp i need to bypass in a 96 dodge avenger? unsure if it has bose or infinity sound system.

From what i'll heard is that u can not play bose speakers in a car without a bose stero. Therefore you have to bypass the bose amp in order to play the speaker. I'm going off hear say with that

yes you will have to run new wire from the radio , straight to the speakers.  The Factory wiring includes a pre amp, which will not allow an aftermarket radio to play.

Uhhh, don't think so. First, Chrysler doesn't use Bose, it should be Infiniy. If it is Infinity, they use a high level or speaker level input. So your aftermarket deck should wire right in.Get Metra's 70-1817 harness and make sure to hook up the blue/white lead from the deck to the blue lead on the harness.
