Now, I just got a LOC to use on my stock non-bose HU (Mazda6), and it's for my mono amp/sub....all other speakers are running w/ no amp, all 4 of my speakers are at the door panel, in all Mazda6, the front speakers are way louder than the rear, and my 1st question is that should I tap my LOC on the front speaker wires or the rear? if tapped in the rear, will the RCA singal be very weak? or doesn't make a different? I use a voltmeter to measure voltage drop on the front & rear, front is about 5v, and the rear is only 1v.....
Now my 2nd question is on Capacitor, since the positive is hot all the time, is that mean the capacitor will never turn off?.....is that gonna affect my battery power when it sit overnight?

1) The output voltage of the LOC may or may not be based on the input voltage signal. There are different LOC's manufactured. Some use an input voltage to boost the singal to a set level, while others are based directly on a proportion (ie. 1:12, etc)
In general though a higher RCA voltage is always better, because it raises the level of amplification that can be had before clipping.
2) The capacitor will not discharge any current unless there is a load requiring power. Thus, unless something is turned on it wont lose any charge, therefore not needing to draw any current to be re-charged.

Appears to be a standard linear type (ie. based on a set ratio of the input voltage).
Hook it up to the front speaker lines. The Bose systems in the MAzda vehicles do indeed use drastically different output voltages from the front to rear preamp lines.

I don't know if it's true or not, but my friend told me that rear give u more accurate bass. he said that most of the bass is from the rear, <---low fraquecy......to me right now, seems the front speaker knocks way harder than the rear.....so i don't know....
