Ok I know about the big 3. I have a question though.

On the powerwire from the positive post on the alternator to the positive post on the battery what size fuse do I use if I dont run it through the Power Distribution block?

I have a 130A alternator if that helps any...

Fuse it to the size of wire you are running so that you protect the wire.

Since you´re using a 4awg cable an 80 amps fuse may be used....it will be ok ,,and by the way....can you send me a diagram so I will learn much about the B3? I´m about to installit to my car this weekend...

To be honest there alex, you really don't *need* to fuse it.. but that advice will probably and rightfully get flamed so..

I mean... 130A alt 130A fuse right?

I don't think your wire size is going to matter here b/c 4-gauge, at the few feet you'll need to snake around your engine, simply is going to have *massive* carrying capacity, even at 14 volts or so... something on the order of 160 amps or so at 10 ft of length.. you shouldn't need but a portion of that to get your posts connected...

Given the reasons I can come up with just to bother with fusing, you'd prolly be best fusing @ the alternator.. but thats just speculation..

Can I ground the alternator, 1/0 gauge ground from battery, and the stock battery ground all in the same place or should I ground them seperately? Would it make a huge difference if they are all on the same bolt on the chassis?

I wouldn't worry about grounding the alternator.  It wouln't hurt anything, but I just think it's overkill- it's grounded through it's mount.  Upgrade the factory grounds and you will be good.

i would fuse and wire for a higher amp output than the alt puts out, but not fuse higher than the wires current rating. I have no idea where it would be better to fuse though, the battery and the alternator side of the fuse will be putting out power, so i guess if u fuse in the middle then it would burn up half the wire....if something goes wrong on the alt side it'll burn to the fuse, if something goes wrong on the bat side it'll burn to the fuse. I get where sedate is coming from with the no need to fuse, but at least u can only burn up half the wire with a fuse, lol. Biggest key is to make sure that the wire will not somehow be cut or burned on anything to short it out.
