I need to know two things ;  How do you set the clock time ? And why dosent the clock read out show when the unit is off ?

The manual for this unit is long gone , so i apprieciate any help you can give me here.

if you cant figure out how to set the clock. at 11:55 run out to the car. take off the positive terminal. then at 12:00. quickly put it back on. primitive yes, but it will work.

Thanks for the reply , menace2sobriety.  This unit is a Din. pullout with battery backup so i will try your procedure with the back up battery and see what happens.

Looks like you have been busy with 186 posts since Oct. 29 2005 ! ?

menace2sobriety that is one that i have never thought of doing but very intoitive. i like it matbe if you want to beat the back up just keep it unplugged longer like as long as possible.

i dont recall how they where set. back when i was using pullouts i went mostly with alpine i remember they used the 5 and 6 buttons for the radio channel presets along with holding the clock button. i would try a combination like that always trying to hold the display while on clock or a clock button it self. can you send a picture of it i might be able to help more. but im sure if you say posted someone will be able to help. lol

Hey Menace 2  Sobriety :

Thanks again for the help .

I couldnt help but notice your system ; am delco , 40 watt boot etc.

Sounds like the kind of stuff i was installing in the late 70s early 80s .

It brought back a lot of memories , Remember those old radio/tape switches with 40 connections on them ? Spending your day upsidedown under a dash or rear deck ? Cutting holes with a nibbler etc. ? Trying to trim double c.b. antennas ? Pulling 8 track tape out of players ?  Able to black tape a twist connection while blind folded . LOL

Those where the days.
