ok i had a Panasonic deck, and and while ago it started messing up, so i took it in and the guy said the ground inside the deck was fried... so he just put a bolt to the body of the deck and put wires around the rcas, to ground them he said it was a "ghetto" way of fixing it but it will work. so after that my subs sounded fine, they pounded pretty good, and just recently i got an Alpine cda9851 and i havent touched my amp settings of anything and my subs hardly move.. could the rcas be messed up or something with the deck ?, but its wired right and everything.

When you change sources you usually have to re adjust your gains. I am sure the pre amp output on the previous deck differs from the new one. If you do this, please be careful and do it properly. If you do not know how, search this site for the proper procedure. It will save your subs.
However make sure that you have set the deck up properly, like the sub level is set and more basically that the sub is on. Check the deck's x-over for the sub. Maybe the x-over for the sub is in use as well as the deck's x-over. if they are both on they may cause poor sound.
