I have a new 12V VCR I bought, obviously i'm not a real wiring genius, it has three wires coming from the power jack on the back: a red one (marked: Power+), a black one
(marked: Ground) and a blue one that has no markings. Anyone know how this gets wired? What is the blue one for?

In this business blue usually means some sort of turn on lead. Hook up the power and ground and turn the VCR on. If the blue lead shows 12 volts when it's turned on there's your answer. If not try to find the manufacturer and get a wire diagram. If it is a turn on lead it's probibly there to swicth on an FM modulator to feed the audio into the cars stereo system.
