I have a 2003 350z, the stock bose stereo is horrible, so I am planning to install a new stero that i just purchased.  I have a Diamond Auido D7152 (600W x 1 @ 4ohm) a D7104 (100W x 4 @4ohm), a new Jl audio 10w6, and two componet sets of Diamond audio M361 ( 60W Rms 6.5" speakers and 1" woofers).  Is this stero going to work ok, or do i have too much watts going to my speakers?  I was thinking of selling the amps and purchasing a memphis belle MCH1300 ( 75x4 at 4 ohm, and 300x1 at 4 Ohm).  WHat set up should i go with?

Ryan

i would rather have a bigger amp than what's needed. you can always turn your gains and that shhh down so it wont blow the speakers.. someone correct me if i am wrong.. the bigger amp would be more efficent than one that was i.e. 50x4 trying to push 100rms speakers.

Ryan what type of enclosure do you plan for the W6?

A sealed enclosure that fits under the rear strut bar, i believe it will provide about .75 cu ft

Is this an old school W6 or a W6V2? Is the enclosure pre made?

its the new w6 the dual 4 ohm, The box will either be bought premade or will be made by a friend at a local car audio shop

Whoa whoa whoa absolutely not no such thing. Overrunning any speaker by a miniscule 25% won't produce any significant sonic difference anyway.

Now, the whole stereo sounds great. Diamond componets ALL AROUND with a w6 for fill? Come on that's a winner all the way around.

Diamond amps to the tune of 1kw? Fantastic choices man. Selling this stuff for lower power would be like trading your Ferrari for a new pair of shoes; that is, silly.

To be totally honest, I'm not sure I could take issue with a single choice in your entire system except perhaps the smallish size of your subwoofer... a single 10 to complement something as vicious as 400watts across a *pair* of componet sets? Perhaps a smallish upgrade?

No, don't trade ur amps for anything.

tcss, why you so worried about his enclosure? He's inline no matter what he does... eh?

The subs have to able to operate in the air space.  I think the older W6s require a different box size than the new ones.

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

Sedate, there are a couple of reasons I asked the enclosure and whether it's premade. Like arrow said there is a slight differance in enclosure size, The old W6 has a wider sweet spot .4to .8 cu. ft. while the V2 is .5 to 1.0 cu. ft. so is box is dead on size wise. But mainly I asked about the premade enclosure because I've only seen a couple of non JL premades that are deep enough for the 10" W6V2 .
