what amp and head unit should i get?

ok guys... i need some help here.. i'm in the process of setting up a system in my car and i've already bought the amps and i need the head unit and amp. i was wondering if neone could tell me what kind of amp would work best with about 200 dollars give or take to work with for 2 AUDIOBAHN AW1251T 12" subs. the specs on these subs are as follows: - 12" High Performance Subwoofer
45 oz. Strontium Magnet
2" 4 Layer Black Aluminum Voice Coil
Power Handling 400 Watts RMS 800 Watts Peak (1600 Watts Peak for the pair!)
Frequency Response 30HZ - 1KHZ
Efficiency 91.1 dB
Bumped and vented polished T-Yoke
Poly Coated 2 Layer Non Pressed Paper Cone
Lug Lock Terminals
Dual Voice Coils
2 OHM or 8 OHM Operation
Rubber Gasket and Magnet Mesh Cover
they are pre wired for two ohm's. i drive a 2004 hyundai tiburon if ne one here has that car. so also i need to know what head unit to get, or a way to figure out what headunit i need.. im also in the 200 dollar range on that.

There's been a lot of discussion on entry-level head units and amps in these forums. I believe the consensus for sub $200 HUs included Pioneer, Blaupunkt, and entry-level Alpines. As far as low-end amps go, I like to recommend US Acoustics. Sometimes you can find a good deal on Hifonics or Orion or MTX subwoofer amps, and many people have had great luck with Lightning Audio or Rockford. Please don't bump your own threads. Metra's 99-7313 kit will make any standard DIN head unit fit. If you are doing the install get the 70-7301 harness also.

Eclipse should also have a headunit available in that price range or darn close to it. The CD5415 or CD5425 will do the job better than any other cd player at the same price point. This is easily proven in the tonal response of the units. As far as the amp goes, you need to look for an amp that is either a class D mono sub amp that makes it's full ouput power at 1 ohm, or you need to find a big 2 channel amplifier that makes it's full output power at 4 ohm mono. Your subs may be wired to either a combined 1 ohm or 4 ohm load. As I am not familiar with the US pricing structure of amplifiers or what is available in your local area, I'll let someone else make the recommendations on brand and model based on what I have written above.

Rob, I think he's got SVC 4 ohm subs. Sounds like he's got them paralled to 2 ohms. Got the kitty yet?

Nope, these subs are dvc 4 ohm, he has them parallel wired to 2 ohms each. Nope, Mr. Big Bad Kitty is hiding.....but now with fresh snow I'll be able to see his prints and him waaaaay better.

Your right, my bad, when he said "they" were wired to 2 ohms I thought he meant both together. I gotta clean my glasses.
