i was just curious how to install a crossover. its not the kind in the help section, its a little box that has a grnd, power, and remote plug on it and it can be used for low pass or high pass. its designed to be used with the subwooofer. i have it set up, but when i switch tracks, u can hear a loud thump, like a heart beat, and it contiuously does this on pause. i was just curious how to exaclty wire it. right now, i have the power wire hooked to the power wire on the amp, along with the ground and remote are hooked up to the amp. should these wires be hooked up to their own source?

The way you have it wired should be fine. The loud thump you are hearing is probably coming from your head unit. You might want to check your ground lead on your head unit, as you might be getting a current surge.

If you by pass the x over and just run the rca’s directly to your amps do you still get the thump?
