hi all.
just installed my stereo and i got:
hifonics brutus 1500W mono D
and 2 15" audiobahn special edition subs.


i dont know how to tune the equil. on the amp for optimum performance? what should the dials be set at. (level, eq, 0-180 degrees, gain, etc.)

Are your subs in a sealed or ported enclosure?  Are you using a HP crossover on your mains?

Click the "search" button and look for "setting gain" and carefully follow those instructions.  Leave the phase control and bass EQ set to "0".  Set your LP filter somewhere between 80Hz and 120Hz.

its a ported box. no crossovers.

so phase stays at 0
last time i checked when i put EQ to 0 no sound comes from the subs. but i may be thinking of a different knob

0 in this case is the phase of the signal, not the strength of the sound level (as in the case of your eq).  If you seem to have bass problems, you can try 180 to see if it's improved any.
