When you want to design a vented enclosure, you basically have 4 ways you could choose from to go about it:
- Pay an experienced builder to design it for you, with knowledge of your car, your tastes, the amount of space there is to work with.....
- Learn to use one of the good box-designing programs and do it yourself. I use Unibox and WinISD Pro, both which are free and readily available.
- Use the design guidelines established by the manufacturer of the woofers.
- Post on this forum and hope that someone (who has spent the considerable amount of time required to master the programs and has asked you for a lot more specific info) has ample free time on their hands and are willing to devote that time to designing your project.
I'm the type who would pick number 2 in this list. If you are inclined this way as well, you can start here with a search of this forum for threads containing "vented" or "ported". Several of my posts will give you links to programs and calculators that you could save and put to use....so you could even scroll through by author's name and pick out threads that are on the subject.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
