2000 F250 diesel. i reinstalled my factory stereo after someone broke into my truck and stold my stereo. i have reconnected all wires color to color plugged it in. my clock works and all illumination cd ejects tape ejects radio will not work no sound at all. my antenna is plugged in. on the back of the unit were i plug in the connector i have an open slot that says amp. i assume thats for adding a amp. i have one more open slot i believe its an 8 pin. am i missing something? i have no missing or disconnected wires they are all connected to the original connector i just cant figure it out.

Sounds like the constant fuse is fine, but the turn on fuse is blown. Check all your fuses or just check to see if the unit is getting acc/ign power.

well that makes sense...when i hit the button to turn the unit on ...it doesnt...where is the turn on fuse?...i do have acc\ign power.thanks for your help

Check your owner's manual- many times the locations of fuses are listed, otherwise just look under the dash, and under the hood.

you have fuses in the cabin and under the hood.  Check them all.

thanks for all the help..ive checked all the fuses they seem to be fine...maybe it just pooped out although it was working fine when i took it out. i only have one connector on the back of this unit with all the wires coming out of it. should there be another one?....i guess im grasping at straws. dang thieves!!!..
