Hello eveyone, I am new here.

Well my question is how do you route wires into door speakers? I read in one thread that using a wire is the easiest, but it does not work for me. I have a 1994 Civic EX, and just got a JBL amp for my infinity speakers. I am trying to route a 16g wire to my speakers and in the door there is this plastic square (gooseneck connect to it) that is like blocked or something, It would not let the wire through.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, this thing is driving me nuts...crazy asians.

Well I came up with an idead of drilling a small hole near the square, routing my wires through there and into the gooseneck. Just use silicon on the wires so that thay don't damage themselfs by movement.

if you cannot route the wires with the harnes. you can drill but only do that if there is no possible way to get thru the harness. and if you drill a hole do not use silicon at the holes you drilled. go to radio shack and get a grommet.

Take the harness and the molex out of the door jamb. Look at the molex for unused holes, drill the holes out and pass the wires though there. Reinstall the molex into the door jamb, done and done.

Those cars are a pain.  You can remove the molex and drill as suggested above, but the only time I've done this was when a customer wanted LED's for his alarm on the doors.

Otherwise, I'd just use the factory wires.  You can connect to them behind the radio.  It's much simpler, and you won't hear a difference.

Well thanks for the help I'll have it in mind for the next installs. I did drill a hole, used grommet and routed the wire out and into the gooseneck. On my car most, if not all the hole are filled because it has all the possible options on it, power locks, p-windows, tweaters and other accessories. Next time I will prolly route it from the HU, but the wire is 22g, way too small. So I think I did the right thing routing new wires, as I will be running 65watts RMS.

Thanks for the help.

Maybe 20 gauge, but I doubt 22 gauge.  There would still be no audible difference, though, between 20 gauge and 16 gauge.
