Can you run the power, remote turn on and the rca cables all on one side of the vehicle when installing and amp? I've seen alot of installs like that from local shops but I heard you shouldn't do it like that. Can someone tell me the proper way to install or is it ok to do it like that

If you run thr RCA cables next to to power wires you will create background noise in the sound. Allways run your RCA away from your amp power wires and the the car wire harness..

I'd say 99% of the time you will have no problem doing this. It's not recommended, but it's very rare for it to cause any noise problems.
