I just installed a JL 12 W3v2 in a 1 cubic foot sealed truck box. JL reccomends a 1.25 cf box so I put some polyfill in, but since the box isnt very deep at all, most of it is in the corners or around the sub. My question is if pollyfill would effectivly simulate a larger enclosure or if it's just taking up enclosure space (there is probably around .5 pounds or less of polyfill in the box).

It'll work fine.  I recomend keeping it away from the actual magnet assembly as (depending on power input) it can get quite hot and burn the polyester.

there was a post on here before with a good link to someone that tested with poly fill but i cant find it...basically u can use 1-1.25lbs per ft^3 for a "gain" of 25-30% in airspace.
