I have questions that i need answers for....

WEll I m planning o buying the JL XR Components the 6 1/2 in the front and 5x7 in the rear, and i wanted to knw if it was a good idea to just run the 6 1/2 ones with an amp since i got a rockford punch 400s, and the rears on the head unit??

Or do you thing i jus should buy a 4way amp to run them all?? If so i was looking at the JL 300/2 slasher series amp would this be a good amp??

-thanks-

JL XR series components or coax would be a waste of money without an amp. Buy a 4 chan. amp, the 300/4 would do fine.

Uhh.

I wouldn't do this myself, I think the 4-channel idea is a much cleaner method of installation...

BUT, you *can* just run the front channels off of that RF amp you already have... 100x2 should more than take care of those XR's... then just leave the coaxials you already have in the back and run them deck power.

That way you'd save the $$$ on an amp AND a set of expensive coaxials.

To be honest, it would sound darn near the same as an amped 4-channel system, after the rears are all properly attenuated and what-not. I'd try that first just to hold onto my $400...

cool thanks......

well I might sell the rockford amp to one of my friends so I can buy a JL Amp 300/4, if i cant sell the amo then i will go with sedate idea and just run the fronts and keep my coaxils....
