most will tell you that a prefab is no good. I sell a lot of prefabs, and my customers are very happy with them. ( I don't carry the pro box). I like a custom box better myself, but some times they can be a little expensive. If I build one I need to make at least $300.00 for my materials, labor and time. Of course that depends on the size and shape of the box. A simple little box is cheaper. Same with others they need to make money for there labor and time. So I'd say go to your local shop and get a price for them to build you a box. If you think that you can't afford it, get a prefab that is as close to the specs of your subs as you can. ------------- Big Dave

If I were you I would make your own box. But actually get the specs. from Kicker and build it to theirs... Then you kill two birds with one stone. ------------- Vehicle: Mazda B2200 1989 X-Cab

Well he does't like the one's he builds. That's why he's looking at prefabs. Hey If you can build one yourself, by all means do it. If you don't feel like you can, do what I said above. Do a site search on box building, lots of good info for you there.

I have used many PROBOX's. They are great. Well built and very well designed. I've had the opportunity to talk w/ one of the in house designers and they really know what they're doing. As for the specific one you are talking about I have no input because I've never used it. In fact I never used any of their simple super bass boxes, just their vehicle specific ones and was never disappointed. My shop is in NorthEast Pa, and I'm not a kicker dealer, but I do have a company I buy all my regular prefab boxes from. They have a dual sub ported L5/L7 box that I have used Twice. They sound great!!!! I know that many Local shops on the East coast use this supplier, just ask your local shop if they have "Bomb Series" boxes. This is not a Bomb series box but it is from the same supplier. If you can't find anything else let me know I can get you more info.
