I have an Eclpise head unit with 8 disc changer. After re-tuning the system a bit I had problems with the cd changer not coming on. I figured that one out and it was fine. Then I began buttoning everything up (put amp back, tighten power connection to amp, etc.) when I decided to check everything just one more time. When I swich the head unit to cd changer, I get "INFO 5." I checked, double checked and tripple checked the power cord into the changer, into the amp, and the controler cord coming off the head unit. All seems to be fine and I see no bent pins. The changer comes on as I can hear it checking discs when I remove the back up power and reconnect it. Any ideas anyone???
Look in your manual and see what "INFO 5" means.

I don't remember what I did with the manual and probably don't have it around anymore. I wish I did, believe me.
Okay, check with your local Eclipse dealer, or contact them direct:

Will the disc magazine eject? I had a changer do that and what had happened was one of the discs had a label that was coming off and the edge of the label got stuck. I had to take the changer apart and remove the disc. If it won't eject that could be what is happening.

Info 5 reads cd player and cd changer fails mechanically. The cd cd player and cd changer is inoperative for some reason. Go through the magazine removal procedure. If a magazine fails to eject, have your dealer fix the problem.
Also try the reset button on the deck!
