Hey guys, just joined so, I got this Power Acoustik flip out for my car, got it off ebay, I didn't think I got jipped, it all works, but when I go to hook up speakers, at full blast, I get hardly any sound out of the speakers. Could that mean the internal amp is blown? or I just need to run a small amp to the speakers? If you are wondering, the HU is in an Isuzu Impulse. Many of you may not of heard of them before. But anyway, thanks in advanced for any help, and if you need any more info, just ask please.

usally when the internal amp goes its gone. no sound at all. have you checked the Fader controls, or does the h/u have a mute that's on, how are the speakers? Could there be an audio interrupt wire that got wired in the wrong location.

I checked all fader controls and such, and also did a master reset, still the same thing. The speakers, I have no clue how good they are, they are stock, around 14 years old, but I also tried a speaker from my house, same thing, low sound. and with my house speaker, there cant be any thing interferring, its a strait 3 ft speaker wire.

maybe the internal amp is bad, if all the settings are right, all wire points are solid=tight. and the wiring is correct. then what else is left? get an after market amp and enjoy.

so an aftermarket amp, such as a small 200 or 300 watt amp work then, like make the speakers louder? I dont know if it would work or not, like I thought you would have to have a good strong signal going to the amp first. Thanks again though!

ok use the rca's to the amp and it should work fine, as far as hooking it up they way you had it and got low sound. what color wires from the h/u were you using to power the speakers?

I just used a diagram off here, and just touched wires to the rca's to see what speakers are what. I also switched the wires around, same thing. And thanks for your help!
