Does anyone know if JBL's GTO series amp is under or over rated? We should make a list of all the amps we know that are over or under rated! Thanks for your help! -------------

i mean, is their power under rated. The amp is rated at 427 @ 4ohms. Was wondering if it could actually be more. I am looking for an amp for a 450w sub -------------

Um. That amp would be fine for a 450w sub.
It is probably rated very precisely...
Either way, you aren't going to hear an extra 50 watts or whatever you are looking for.

could i use 2 channels of the the PX600.2 which are rated at 290w x 2 @ 4ohms. Is it ok to use a 2channel amp for a DVC? I've never done it -------------

Uhh. Bridge the channels, and wire the sub in series. You want the input single hitting the woofer to be summed, not stereo..

if i bridge the PX600.2 the power will be 639w @ 4ohms. Should I do this or go for the GTO601.1 - 424w @ 4ohms? for 30 more bucks, might as well go for the PX, right?
