Recently installed a head unit on a used 95 jeep cherokee.  The front door panel speakers work just fine, but the rear speakers in the lift gate do not, and the tweeters in the far rear columns do not work either.  I plugged the rear speakers up front and i get sound out of them.  There is a great deal of cable running through the car and mounts in the back as though the previous owner had a full system.  I am currently experimenting to see if some wires got screwed up along the way...any ideas.

Have you verified that there are infact speakers in the locations you listed?

A common problem in those jeeps is the wire in the rear hatch gets a break somewhere.  You may need to rewire if you want to use the factory locations- not fun.

Well, I have the speakers working now, what i did was run the wires that came out near the gas pedals straight to the head unit, the problem lies in the wiring in the dash, sounds so much better.  But now my turn signals are out...effin jeeps.
