I've become a recent owner of 2 Kicker CompVR 12" subs.

2ohm DVC, 400 watts rms each, 800 max each.

i'd like to hear what you guys think of these fellas before I go droppin the cash for the amp(s) necessary to drive them.

I have one in the large size ported box that Kicker recommends. It is getting powered by a MTX MXA3002 and I absolutely love the thing.

If I had 2 I would go sealed though. The proper size ported boxes for 2 of those subs would take up a lot of space. Going by the specs they are better for sealed enclosures anyways.

I had two of the same subs the 2003 series and I loved them. I recently upgraded to MA's 1200XLs and pushing them with Visoniks 1800 X-class. I need more boom. But, if I were to buy them again I would and probaly 2 more. I love bass. Mine were sealed and they slammed and like luckydevil said I went sealed because ported was to much for my car at the time.

I own a pair of the 12" 4ohm dvc in a sealed box, getting 787wrms off a jbl gto1201.1 II amp. they're my fav. subs I've owned so far. i think you'll be pleased with the sound. they get very loud and sound good at the same time, even when feeding them low wattage.

but when i change my setup soon, i plan on getting something that's more on the sq side.

ssnds - I'll be droppin them in my 03 Cavalier soon. Just gotta run some more power lines for the pair of audiobahn a8000t amps that are gonna drive them.

after that, total system power will be 1400 watts. People will need body armor to get in the car.

tex12gage - heh, i dont think so bro, nice try tho ;)
