I'm trying to figure out what could have happened. I have a brand new MTX TA3401 connected to a T5512-44, dual 4's paralleled for a 2 ohm load. It seemed to work fine for about 45 minutes and then it started squealing and blew both amp fuses. Turned everything down all the way and replaced the fuses but amp appears dead. I check the resistance on the sub, 1.9 ohms. Any thoughts about why the amp would have blown?

Could have been defective.  It happens sometimes.  That's why warranties are a good thing.  Take it back to your dealer.
