the other day me and my buddy were thinking.  since most amps have heating issues, we were thinking of using the water cooling to cool down the amps.  Just like water cooling in computer infact the same thing.   i was woundering if any body has tried it or if they make amps water cooled.  i know the issue of the water storage but there may be a way around that.  but i thnk i will try anyways in the spring once i get my system up again see what happens

i know  Precision power did and I believe bazooka did that too in the mid 90's so it can be done.

bazooka makes amps and subs that accept a "chill" kit. ive installed a few with some nice displays, but it can get messy.

im just saying, over time of playing a amp does heat up especally in the summer it feels like it can melt your hand when playing. and even then i do spl compettion even though i do do short burst or a burp. it may be helpfull.  but relaly i just want to know if any body has tried them selfs or seen it done.

you can blast it with liquid propane that will chill your amps off in a hurry.  But one or two fans on your sub amp(s) will do just as good as a liquid coolant system.

Or instead of going through that just feed the amp the power it demands.  A HO alternator will help keep an amp cooler by keeping the current flowing at a higher voltage.  I have never had a heat problem since i started putting HO alts in vehicles.

It is an interesting idea, but it will require a lot of customization and it does have the potential to be very messy and ruin everything.

Another less common method of cooling a CPU is using a Peltier or Thermoelectric cooler. It's a form of electrical cooling. It's really cool.

It may be really expensive though and also draw a lot more power. I don't know, I have not researched it enough. If it can be done, it may be a better option.

pelts usually require water cooling in themselves though, because they create a hot and a cold side, and if the hot side isn't cooled effieciently, the cold side won't be very cold at all.
