ive hooked up everything on the new headunit it all works except the stupid antenna, i know the wire for the antenna is the GREEN / WHITE to the blue, did that yet the antenna goes up once i connect the harness and then stays up no matter what, the only way to get it down is to undo the wire, any suggestions?

You said it stays up no matter what- even if you turn off the deck?  If it only stays up on other sources, try hooking up the blue/white instead of the blue.  Blue is usually the amp turn on lead, so this would cause the antenna to stay up on cd as well.

the antenna stays up no matter what, its a pioneer deck, the blue/white is connected to a blue white on the harness, right when i connect the blue wire whether the car is on or off the antenna goes up, and the only way to get it down is disconnect it

I'm stupid- I wrote that blue is amp turn on and blue/white is power antenna.  It's actually the other way around.  You wrote that it stays up regardless whether or not the car is on.  I'm assuming this means that once it's powered up, you can turn it off and the antenna stays up.

If this is the case, test this blue wire coming out of your deck- it sounds like it stays hot even after you power down (an internal short).  If it does, then return the deck to the place you bought it for an exchange.  If you are unable to do this for some reason, you can try jumpering the power antenna lead to the red wire in the metra harness.  If you do this, however, the power antenna will stay up for as long as the key is on, so I recommend taking the deck back first if you can.
