Hello,
I have a single sealed JL Audio 10W6V2 driven by a MTX Thunder 421D. I read this topic on setting the gain and generally understand it, but I still have a couple of questions. My amp is rated at 420 watts rms x 1 @ 2ohms at dynamic power which is 14.4 volts. Should I use this wattage rating when calculating the the gain voltage or should I use the 360 watts the amp delivers when it is getting 12.5 volts? Also, what would be a good audio track to use when matching the ouput of my amp up with the ouput of my head unit? Thanks.

I always set gains with the vehicle not running- so I would use the 12.5 volt rating.
