how do i connect my 2-ohm stable mono amp to my 4-ohm dual voice coil subs so that the load would just be 4-ohms?

Typically, a DVC 4 ohm sub is wired in parallel to make a 2 ohm load for use with a 2 ohm-stable mono amplifier.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

The only way you can do this with one woofer is to wire only one voice coil on the woofer and then use an amplifier with an RMS output rating 1/2 the RMS rating of the woofer.  But if your amplifier is 2-ohm stable, why are you worrying about producing a 4-ohm load?  Wire both VCs in parallel and use a 2-ohm load.
