Hi everyone i was wondering if anyone had any info on if a Delco CS130D Series 200 Amp Alternator would fit in my 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD 4Dr 5.7 Vortec Motor PW/PL Tow Package, my current Alternator has no sticker on it and appears to be the original Alternator that came with the truck i can describe it as one main power wire going to the battery it has a plug with a few wires kinda on the side and a black plastic casing on the back and a small 6 Grove Pulley any info would help i checked my Manual to the Truck and it did not say anything about it and i did a few searches and did not come up with any good results.

The factory alt is a cs model(I think) at 105 amps if it has the black plastic on the back. An 140 amp alt will fit, but the wiring harness will have to be modified...I'm pretty sure the 200 amp models are rewound 140's.

Also the pulley will be relocated and you will need a longer belt(aprox 2 inches longer) or you will have a he!! of a time getting the belt back on.
