I have a 1998 Camry with a 3.0 engine and I am having problems with my lights dimming and my battery draining. I have read other post on this site and have come to the conclusion that I need a new alternator. I only have a Hifonics TX1500D amp(2 60a fuses) and I don't plan on adding anything else. I have found two alternators so far.
The first is a 150a alt for $240 plus $15 shipping.

The second is a 160a alt for $169 plus $20 shipping.
My questions are: are these enough for my TX1500D, and do they seem like good deals?
Also, if anyone has any other suggestions or information I need to know, it would be greatly appreciated! I'm trying to keep it around $250 but I know I get what I pay for! Thanks everyone in advance!
to answer ur Q... it may not be enough but if thats the biggest alternator you can buy.. your kinda stuck with that.. it looks like it should be enough.. but bigger is always better when it comes to power supply... a good way to estimate if the alternator is big enough is for every 100 watts you need 10 amps.. thats a common rule of thumb... you could try this guy he has helped me out before..

I'd get the 160- you'll be fine. Also do a search on the big 3 if you're not sure what it is- you'll need to do that as well.
