I purchased a vehicle with hu, 4 channel amp and door speakers already installed. I see where there use to be sub boxes on the back seat. Is there any way I can install a 12" sub without adding another amp and without messing up the system? Sub is a 4 ohm 600 watt max. 4 speakers are 6.5" 3-way pioneers in the doors. Amp is Alpine 4 channel. HU is a pioneer.

There's no such word as cant.
You can do anything, if you set your mind to it.
You could bridge the last two channel of the amp and power the rear speakers off the deck. You may have to do some rewiring,

Bridging the channels will not harm the system? And what kind of power drain am I looking at by running this amp, because I have a lot of other electrical equip. that I run out of this vehicle too?

Well based on the capabilities of the amp, it may or may not be bridgeable. How about a model #?
What are the fues ratings on the amp and power specs?

I wish I had a model # and specs for it, but I have never seen it myself yet. My ride was stolen a couple months back. They found it and put it in the shop and now the only thing I've seen in it til I get it back @ the mid of this month is the speakers in the door. O ther then that all I know is what I've mentioned earlier. Except I believe it is a 400w 4 channel amp made by Alpine. They couldn't find another Pioneer to mount back that would fit where my original was.
