I've been thinking of either getting the Kenwood 7017 or 8017 model for my "05 Yukon" but everything I read tells me these units won't fit. Does anyone have any experience with either of these units in a newer Yukon. Also, I have been trying to do a bit of research on the parts I'm going to need for my install of the DDX7017. I see there are interfaces I am going to need in order to have everything running properly;

OS-2Bose- to keep the Bose amp,etc

SWI-ALP- for the radio/steering wheel control

CM-1- for the system/truck chimes.

Now please correct me if I'm wrong in assuming all of this equipment still doesn't allow people in the back seats to use the separate rear audio controls. I'm looking at $900.00 for the radio and another $250.00 for the interfaces and I still won't have a complete system. If I'm missing something, please let me know. Thanks.

They fit just fine.....
Parts list looks good. Add on a GM antenna adaptor and you are off to the races.

As far as the rear seat controls.... the Kenwood units do have a "Dual Zone function" that you can use to feed something different (both audio, and Video) to the rear passengers. Has to be contolled from the front unit though.
