I hope this is in the right forum.  I thought about putting it in the "Buy and Sell" forum, but I decided against it.  Anyways...  Does anyone know a ballpark price for an Eclipse CD5405, CD5415, and CD5425?  I just want to know about how much each one will cost?  Thanks.

That could be a real problem.  I'll check the exchange rate.

Sorry for the double post, but thanks for the heads up forbidden.  I found a way to calculate the exchange rate on a site.

Nope those are US prices, i live on the US/Canada boarder and my Eclipse dealer is a stones throw across the st mary's river on the US side.

Rob are you saying thats what you sell yours for in canada? If so, thats cheap!

CD5405 $229 CDN

CD5415 discontinued

CD5425 $299 CDN

CD5435 $429 CDN

Now this is the average selling price, not what things should hopefully sell for to make a business remain profitable.

FYI: The 5435 also has a aux in for a I-Pod, CD changer, etc. It also plays WMA files and has a remote changes a couple differant colors like AlpineGuy mentioned. The 5425 doesnt have these features but is the same in ever other way.

So does this unit perform up to everyones expectations (5435)? I am thinking about purchasing it in the very near future. I have to decide right now between the Alpine 9851 or the Eclipse 5435. What do you think AlpineGuy?

Humm, i can't honestly compare the 2 units, i haven't heard an alpine HU for over a year now since iv been converted, but i can say once i heard the eclipse it took me less than 10 min to find a way to sell my Alpine unit haha.

Nuff said. Now I have 2 votes for Eclipse vs Alpine. Do you know of anywhere reliable online that I can purchase one from? Is acaraudio.com any good? One thing though, the Alpine's seem to be more atttractive than the Eclipse's. That's only based on what I've seen online.

Eclipse by far. Eclipse has a zero tolerance policy for on line retailing, they have prevented me from selling on line for the last 6 years now.Therefor it must be purchased from a specialty shop. Anyone can sell you a deck on line, the question is if you want any degree of warranty with it.

Actually Eclipse has 2 authorized online retailers. Crutchfield and Car Toys. Only problem is I want the 5435 and they dont carry it. The 5425 has all the features I need but I hate that display color. I live in the Virgin Islands and have no such shop here carrying Eclipse so I am either stuck with risking it with an unauthorized dealer or with whats available at those 2 retailers.
